On Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at 6:38 p.m., Toronto Police Service executed a search warrant at the Georgia Peach Dispensary at 550 Queens Quay West.
Police alleged that the1428.81 grams of shatter (including packaging), 6907.29 grams (6.9 kg) of loose marijuana, 212.18 grams of pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes,1140.12 grams of marijuana-derived products,123.07 grams of hashish,7206.68 grams of edibles (including packaging), and $4,421 (Canadian currency) was seized during the execution of the search warrant.
Two people were arrested and charged with three counts of Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, three counts of Possession of a Schedule II Substance, and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over. They are both scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, 9 a.m., room 114.
While some cities have been tolerant of illicit cannabis dispensaries, Toronto police have said they will continue to target these businesses.
