Toronto police raid downtown residence, seize several kilograms of cannabis, cannabis products

Toronto Police Services say they raided a residential location Tuesday night, arresting four and seizing large amounts of cannabis and cannabis products, as well as cash.

The police news release states that on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at approximately 7:05 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at 20 Stewart Street, Unit #104. The location is a unit in a high end condo development in downtown Toronto.

Police alleged that they seized 8.49 kilograms of cannabis, 4.5 kilograms of shatter, 28.15 grams of hash and about $700 in cash.

During the execution of the warrant, four individuals were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, possession of a Schedule II substance and dangerous weapons. A fifth person is also wanted in relation to this search warrant on similar charges.

The four arrested are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, 9 a.m., room 114.
