Prince Edward Island updated its framework for cannabis legalization to permit four plants to be grown per household and allow public consumption in “certain designated spaces” once recreational cannabis is legalized. Age of purchase will be 19 and the province will run only four brick-and-mortar retailers throughout the province, compared to 25 liquor stores, as well as selling online. Read more here.

Alfie Dingley still can’t access medicine that’s proven to help with his chronic seizures. The seven-year-old has received a lot of attention lately, as high profile Brits like Richard Branson and Patrick Stewart rally to bring attention to his cause. Earlier this month, Alfie’s parents, along with a slew of supporters brought a petition to parliament with more than 370,000 signatures asking they change their laws to allow cannabis oil.
