Updated: On Friday, December 30, 2016, the Ottawa Police Service Drug Section executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant at an illegal marijuana dispensary located at 274 Montreal Road.
613 Medicinals is listed at this address on Weedmaps. In November, police in Ottawa raided a number of dispensaries, with a Green Tree dispensary located a few doors down at 290 Montreal Rd being one of them. By late November, the Green Tree location and several others had re-opened. Another listing describes 613 Medicinals as an offshoot of Green Tree. Green Tree is an offshoot of Wee Medical, which also runs stores under the CannaGreen banner. According to employees, the owners are all connected.
As with most raids of this nature, police confiscated various cannabis products, from dried buds to concentrates and edibles, as well as cash and cell phones.
According to the police report, two adults — a male and a female — were arrested on the scene without incident. Their names are not being released at this time so as not to jeopardize the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
